ALFRED, NY – Alfred University's Breece Erickson (Goshen, IN/Bethany Christian) was named the Empire 8 Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Monday afternoon by Associate Commissioner, Joe Venniro.
 
Erickson was undefeated for the Saxons in an 8-1 win against Lycoming College. He first teamed with Walker Waldon (Wellsville, NY/Wellsville) for an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles. Erickson finished the day with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles.
 
Erickson follows teammate Mike Roberts (Alfred Station, NY/Alfred-Almond) as the Empire 8 Men's Tennis Player of the Week as Roberts picked up the honor last week.
