OLEAN, NY - The Alfred University Men's Tennis team picked up a win over Lycoming College by a score of 8-1. 

In doubles action, Mike Roberts (Alfred Station, NY/Alfred-Almond) and Nick Flemmer (Corning, NY/Corning-Painted Post) won an intense back-and-fourth match by a score of 8-7 from the No. 1 spot. Walker Waldon (Wellsville, NY/Wellsville) and Breece Erickson (Goshen, IN/Bethany Christian) also won from No.2 Doubles by a score of 8-4. Matthew Bittel (Wellsville, NY/Wellsville) and Rodrygo Perez (Pelencia, Spain/IES Victorio Macho) won from third doubles by a score of 8-5. 

"Another great team win today." Head Coach Jordan Crouch said. "Lots of tight matches that we were able to come out with a big win. Team energy was awesome all day." 

In Singles play, Erickson won in two sets in the #2 spot, Flemmer won from #3 in two sets, Bittel won in three sets from #4, Waldon won in two sets from #5, and Bill Tran (Hanoi, Vietnam/Grace Christian) won in two sets from the #6 spot.

Alfred University will next play at home against Oswego State on Saturday, March 23rd at 1:00 PM.
