ITHACA, NY – The Alfred University men's swimming & diving team finished 5th out of 10 teams at the Ithaca College Bomber Invite.
The Saxons (3-2, 0-0 Empire 8) finished in 5th place out of 10 teams with 716.5 points on the weekend.
"We were excited to get into a meet situation where there were multiple teams and multiple heats. It was our first chance to play with a championship style lineup." Head Coach Brian Striker '00 said. "Going in, we know that we have some weaker events, but are very strong in others. I was happy with our approach and performances over each of the sessions. The divers dove well in their first attempt at 11 dives, and now have a picture of things that need improvement for the championships. We put together some really good relays, some of our best at this point in the season in the last 8 years or so. They are in a solid place as we begin the second half of the season!"
