ALFRED, NY – The Alfred University men's tennis team appeared in their final home match of the spring season with a 9-0 loss to Houghton College on Tuesday afternoon from the William T. Brown Tennis Courts.
"Today we battled the weather as much as possible," Head Coach
Jordan Crouch said. "We tried to capitalize on the momentum from the Utica match but couldn't quite get it done today. I'm excited to play one more time against Fisher on Sunday."
Logan Cross (Olean, NY/Olean) battled from No. 1 singles, recording three points during his second set.
Sam Adu-Tutu (The Bronx, NY/Validus Preparatory Academy) scored in each of his two sets from No. 5 singles.
David Lingenfelter (Erie, PA/Harborcreek) competed well from No. 2 singles, scoring one point in the first set along with three points in the second set.
Alfred University will next travel to face St. John Fisher College on Sunday with matches beginning at 1:00 PM.
