ALFRED, NY – The Alfred University women's lacrosse team opened its 2022 spring season with a win last week in which Amelia Booth (Staatsburg, NY/FDR) was named the Empire 8 Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week.
 
Booth led the Saxons to a win over Wells College, 19-3 last Wednesday. She finished with a program record 20 draw controls, while totaling 10 points from seven goals and three assists. She tied the program record with 16 shots, 11 of which were on goal. Booth rounded out the victory with four caused turnovers and one ground ball.
 
Booth and the Saxons will next host Grove City College on Wednesday, March 15 at 4:00 PM.
