WILLIAMSPORT, PA – The Alfred University men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 loss to Lycoming College on Friday afternoon from Brandon Park.
"The guys fought hard today," Head Coach
Jordan Crouch said. "We saw a lot of good stuff from Logan and David in doubles and singles. I'm excited to see them take the momentum into Sunday against Delhi."
The Saxons (1-5) relied on
Logan Cross (Olean, NY/Olean) and
David Lingenfelter (Erie, PA/Harborcreek) in doubles action from No. 1, as they scored five points in their respective matchup. Cross later performed well from No. 1 singles, forcing three sets. Lingenfelter competed from No. 2 singles, recording multiple points in both sets.
Alfred University will next travel to compete against SUNY-Delhi on Sunday with matches beginning at 1:00 PM.
