The Saxons had five exhibition swimmers in the 100-yard breaststroke and one non-exhibitioned competitor. All six Saxons had faster times than the two Utica athletes as Simonian was credited with the 1:06.90 win. Schultz had the top time in the event with a 1:03.15. Both AU teams in the 200-yard freestyle relay had the top two finishes in the race but were submitted to exhibition after the race.
"We had some better results today, in comparison to this past Tuesday," Head Coach
Brian Striker '00 said. "It was great to have a few athletes back in action and are moving in the right direction as we get into the tail end of our dual meets. Being a little bit tired, it was good to see everyone supporting each other. We have a short turnaround, swimming Hartwick tomorrow afternoon at Hartwick and are looking forward to wrapping up a tough week on a good note."
The Saxons will next travel to Oneonta, NY to face Empire 8 foe, Hartwick College on Saturday, January 15 for a 1:00pm start.
