Hibbard joins Sports Medicine staff

ALFRED, N.Y. – The Alfred University sports medicine program filled out its staff recently with the hiring of Letti Hibbard as Assistant Athletic Trainer. Hibbard will work with the football and track and field programs for the 2021-22 athletic season.
 
Hibbard, a native of Bedford, N.H., arrives at Alfred University after earning her master's degree in athletic training from Merrimack College. There, she worked with the Merrimack football program during the 2020-21 season, focusing on rehabilitation, treatment, and COVID-19 management. Hibbard also worked at Rivier University (all sports), Saint Anselm College (men's lacrosse), and The Derryfield School (all sports), all in New Hampshire.
 
Hibbard also spent the last season as the assistant track and field coach at Bedford High School, her alma mater. Hibbard earned a bachelor's degree in human biology from SUNY Albany in May of 2019.

Letti's experience with football and men's lacrosse, along with her passion for mental health, really fits our department's holistic approach to sports medicine."

  • BOC Certification
  • CPR/AED Certified Healthcare Provider
  • National Athletic Trainer's Association
  • Screening, Behavioral Intervention, and Referral to Treatment Training Behavioral Health Certification
  • Mental Health First Aid (USA)
    Adult Mental Health Certification
