Jessica Wilcox (Forestville, NY/Pine Valley) continues to add honors to her resume after earning her 12
th career Empire 8 Weekly Honors and her first Softball Player of the Week selection, as made official in an announcement by Associate Commissioner,
Joe Venniro on Monday.

Wilcox helped the Saxons become the 2021 Empire 8 Softball Champions as she was the Tournament Most Valuable Player on Saturday. She finished the week with a 3-1 record and is now 17-4 as she also picked up her first save in the final game of the week. Wilcox totaled 30 strikeouts during the four games, first with 11 against Russell Sage, 10 against Fisher, seven in the loss to Fisher and two in 2.0 innings to win the championship. Wilcox also picked up a bat in three games this week, recording two hits, two RBI and one run.

Defensively, Wilcox's perfect streak ended with one error in the loss to Fisher as she now has a .958 fielding percentage. She had one putout and two assists including the championship-clinching scoop and underhand toss to fellow graduate,
Elena Ceja (Redondo Beach, CA/Redondo Beach).

The Saxons will next head to the Regional Round of the NCAA Championship Tournament.
