ALFRED, NY – Alfred University softball's
Jessica Wilcox (Forestville, NY/Pine Valley) was named the Softball Pitcher of the Week on Monday in an announcement by Associate Commissioner,
Joe Venniro for the third time this season and second week in a row.

Graduate Wilcox reached 500 career strikeouts as she also tied the Alfred University school record for career shutouts, getting her 15
th in a one-hitter against Keuka College. Out of the four games that she played in this week, Wilcox had double-digit strikeouts in three of them, having 10 in 6.0 innings in Game One at St. John Fisher, 11 in 5.1 innings in Game Two at Fisher and 14 in 7.0 innings against Keuka in Game One.

In Empire 8 Weekly Awards, Wilcox was joined by men's track & field's
Neil Peters (The Bronx, NY/DeWitt Clinton) as the Track Athlete of the Week and men's tennis's
Wes Dennison (Almond, NY/Alfred-Almond) as the Player of the Week.

Wilcox and the Saxons will next host Nazareth College on Tuesday, April 20 at 3:00pm and 5:00pm in Empire 8 action at Harrington Field.
