ALFRED, NY – The No. 2 seeded Alfred University women's soccer team will host No. 3 St. John Fisher College on Thursday, November 4 at 6:00pm at Yunevich Stadium in the semi-finals of the Empire 8 Championship Women's Soccer Tournament.
 
The Saxons (10-4-4, 5-1-2 Empire 8) are coming off a big win over No. 1 seeded and Empire 8 regular season champions, Nazareth College last Saturday, winning 1-0 off a header from first-year Alyssa Smith (Pearl River, NY/Pearl River). Smith was assisted by a school record-tying corning kick from Jacey Palmgreen (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia), earning her ninth of the season to tie for the top spot.
 
The Cardinals (9-5-1, 5-2-1 Empire 8) are coming off a pair of 4-0 wins over Keuka College and Elmira College.

There will also be no access to field level media except without express consent from Alfred University's Interim Director of Athletic Communications, Chris Boswell. To request a media pass, please email him at boswell@alfred.edu 24 hours prior to kickoff (any requests after 6:00pm on Wednesday, November 3 will not be taken).
 
Alfred University is asking all fans in attendance to please wear your masks at all times while indoors and near concessions, under the grandstand bleachers. While outside and away from concessions, we strongly encourage fans to wear your masks as well.
