*UPDATE* - The Gibbs Fitness Center is slated to open at a date to be named later.
ALFRED, NY – After months of inactivity due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Alfred University Athletics is proud to announce the reopening of the Gibbs Fitness Center, albeit with restrictions due to ongoing safety concerns.
The Gibbs Fitness Center is slated to reopen on Monday, Sept. 28 at 8 a.m. The hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday. The center will be restricted only to active AU students, faculty, and staff through reservations on the
Signup Genius app. Users will only be able to sign up for one 45-minute slot per day to allow for proper sanitation of all equipment. These hours are valid through Friday, November 20.
We ask that you please arrive 5-10 minutes early to allow for time to check-in at the desk, so all sessions can begin on time. If you arrive late, will only be given the remaining amount of time in your scheduled session to exercise. If you cannot keep your appointment, please cancel on the app at least 24 hours in advance to allow that slot to be reserved by other users.
