ALFRED, NY -- For the second week in a row, an Alfred University women's tennis player has made the list of Empire 8 Players of the Week as junior Lauren Boshart (Owego, NY/Owego) was named the Co-Player of the Week as made official in an announcment by Associate Commissioner, Joe Venniro on Monday afternoon.

Boshart was once again, undefeated on the week as she went 4-0 with doubles wins at No. 2 and No. 1 and two No. 2 singles wins. She first picked up a No. 2 doubles win with Kailey Reyes (Dallas, TX/Trinity) against Oswego State, 8-5 and then teamed with Tori Pellegrino (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) for a No. 1 doubles win at Sage Colleges. In singles, Boshart won, 6-1, 6-1 against her opponent from Oswego State and defeated her Sage foe, 6-1, 6-2 on Saturday. In singles, she is on a five-match win streak and in doubles, she is on a four-match win streak. She is undefeated in Empire 8 play in singles and is 3-1 in doubles.

She shared the weekly honor with Sage's Abbey Clobridge who was a member of the No. 1 doubles team that Boshart and Pellegrino defeated on Saturday.

Boshart was also named a Saxon of the Week along with football's Aaron Griffin (Queens, NY/Holy Cross). Griffin was also named the Empire 8 Football Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
