UTICA, NY – The Alfred University men's swimming & diving team defeated Empire 8 foe, Utica College on the road on Friday afternoon, 166-53.
Â
"Usually the second half of our season starts off a bit shaky, as we are pretty beat up from intense training," Head Coach
Brian Striker said. "I don't go into a meet like this ready to be critical of times for the swimmers, nor scores for the divers; typically I am looking for how well they execute proper form and the technique adjustments that we have been working on. That being said, we had some great times and scores today as well as saw our hard work starting to pay off. We definitely looked a little tired, and I am excited to get them some rest, but not quite yet. We have three more dual meets in the next two weeks and we will keep our focus and intensity up with goals of peaking at our championships in February."
