ALFRED, NY – Sophomore midfielder, Zachary Gloskin (New City, NY/Clarkstown South) of the Alfred University men's soccer team earned Empire 8 Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.
 
Gloskin was perfect on Saturday on the road at The Sage Colleges in Empire 8 action. He fired off two shots, with both being on goal and both being scores for the Saxons as they topped the Gators, 2-0 to earn a spot in the Empire 8 Tournament for the first time since the 2014 season.
 
He and the Saxons will next travel to take on non-conference Buffalo State on Tuesday, October 23 for a 7PM start before they head into the weekend to host St. John Fisher College in their regular season finale as it is also Senior Day and Saxon-for-Saxon. The Saxons have already earned a spot in the Empire 8 Tournament but Saturday will determine what seeding they are.
