ALFRED, NY -- The Alfred University football team has played in four games and on Monday afternoon, the Saxons picked up their fourth, consecutive conference weekly honors as sophomore running back Nas Smith (Auburn, NY/Auburn) was named the Empire 8 Offensive Player of the Week.

Smith had a stellar day as he scored every touchdown for the Saxons on Saturday in a win against Morrisville. He scored one touchdown in every quarter with three coming from the run game and one in the air. In total, he rushed the ball 32 times for 190 yards while catching one pass for a 21-yard touchdown.

Smith and the Saxons will next take on Buffalo State on Saturday, October 6 at 6PM in Empire 8 action.
