ELMIRA, NY – The Alfred University men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to host Elmira College in Empire 8 Conference action Wednesday afternoon.
 
Sophomore Peter Smock (Prattsburgh, NY/Prattsburgh) earned the Saxons' lone point, taking a 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 decision in second singles.
 
Alfred (3-7, 1-4 Empire 8) is in action next on Saturday, April 22, at 1 p.m. at home against Empire 8 foe Hartwick College.
