HOUGHTON, NY -- The Alfred University men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to host Houghton College Thursday evening in the Saxons' Empire 8 Conference opener.

The matches were originally scheduled to be played in Alfred, but were moved to Houghton's indoor courts due to inclement weather.

AU (1-3, 0-1 Empire 8) is in action next on Sunday, April 2, at 1 p.m. at home against non-league opponent SUNY Delhi. The Saxons had been scheduled to play Saturday, April 1, at 1 p.m. at E8 foe Utica, but that match was postponed due to poor weather. No make-up date has been set.
