ALFRED, NY – The Alfred University women's basketball team fell to Empire 8 foe, St. John Fisher College on Saturday afternoon, 56-82 at the Terry S. Galanis Family Arena.
 
The Saxons (2-10, 0-3 Empire 8) had three players in double-digit scoring with both senior Amanda Off (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley) and first year Demetria Woodard (Macedon, NY/Rueben A. Cirillo) having 12 points off of four field goals and four free throws. Freshman Jessica Wilcox (Forestville, NY/Pine Valley) added 10 points while she also sunk four from the charity stripe.
 
Off also led the Saxons in assists with three while sharing the top spot in rebounds with freshman Jamie Wilcox (Forestville, NY/Pine Valley) as both players had six (two offensive boards).
 
The Cardinals' (4-7, 1-1 Empire 8) were led by Jessica Rhone's 20 points and nine rebounds.
 
The Saxons will next head to Utica College for an Empire 8 matchup on Tuesday, January 10 at 3:00 pm.
