ALFRED, NY – The Alfred University women's tennis team fell to Oneonta State 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon at the Brown Tennis Courts in non-conference action.
 
The top-finishing Saxon (0-2, 0-1 Empire 8) team in doubles was the No. 2 pair of junior Sarah Grace (Rochester, NY/Penfield) and sophomore Inda Gillett (South Kortright, NY/Delaware Academy Central). The pair loss to Samantha Felice and Faith Haedrich 8-4.
 
Sophomore Emma Siemer (Owego, NY/Owego Free Academy) had the closest set of the day, falling 7-5 in the opening set against Jackie Guidice at No. 2 singles before giving up the second set, 6-0.
 
The Saxons will next host St. John Fisher College in Empire 8 action tomorrow at 4:00 pm in Empire 8 action.
