ALFRED, NY -- The Alfred University women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to visiting Empire 8 Conference opponent Nazareth College Tuesday afternoon.

Alfred's lone point came in second doubles, where sophomore Inda Gillett (South Kortright, NY/Delaware Academy) and junior Sarah Grace (Rochester, NY/Penfield) won a 9-6 decision.

The Saxons (1-7, 1-4 Empire 8) play next on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 4 p.m. at Oswego.
