Alfred (0-4) earned its lone point in sixth singles, with freshman Miranda Sakala (Olean, NY/Olean) claiming a 6-2, 6-4 win.

The Saxons are in action next on Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 4 p.m. at home against Empire 8 Conference foe St. John Fiisher.
