Megan Wendt (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) and freshman
Morgan Timmerman (Cortland, NY/Cortland) scored a pair of goals each in an 18-4 loss to Nazareth College in blustery Alfred on Saturday afternoon.

Naz jumped out to a 4-0 lead before Wendt broke Alfred University's (4-8, E8 0-4) silence with 21:28 to go in the first half. The Golden Flyers rattled off nine more goals before the half, taking a 13-1 lead into the locker room.

The Saxons scored three times in the final 15:08 of the game. Timmerman scored both her goals within three minutes on assists from junior
Leah Ellithorpe (Camillus, NY/West Genesee) and fellow attack
Megan Wendt. Wendt's final goal came with 4:17 left on the clock, earning her 13
th goal of the year.

Shannon Gray (Rochester, NY/Churchville-Chili) played 60 minutes in goal for the Saxons accumulating 18 saves and leading AU with five ground balls.

Kerry Mack (Weedsport, NY/Jordan-Elbridge) nabbed two ground balls in the game and caused two turnovers. Ellithorpe added two caused turnovers on defense for the Saxons. Sophomore
Miranda Gilbert (Watertown, NY/Watertown) paced AU with three draw controls.

AU remains at home tomorrow when they take on nonconference foe SUNY Canton at 1PM in Yunevich Stadium.
