2016: Named GoSaxons.com Athlete of the Week (03.21.16)...played and started in all 17 games this season...led AU in points with 34 from her team-leading 31 goals (breaking last year's total of 13) and three assists...had the second highest shot percentage of players with five or more goals on the season as she shot 68 times with 57 on goal (83.8%) for a total of 45.6%...led the team in free position goals with 10 out of her 19 attempts...recorded the game-winner against Hilbert College (03.17.19)...had eight multi-goal performances with six of them being a hat-trick or better...scored a goal or point in 12-of-17 games this season...broke her career-best in goals with five against Hilbert...doubled her career-best in draw controls with eight against Elmira College (04.24.16) as she led the Saxons with 40 on the season...was second on the team in caused turnovers with 20 and third in ground balls with 38...recorded six ground balls against Elmira for a career-best...ranked 84th in the country in free position percentage (.526 percent).
2015: Played and started in all 12 of her appearances...third on the team with 19 points...second in assists with six...added third-best 13 goals...second on the team in shots on goal percentage (with min. of 10 shots on goal) placing 32-of-37 on target...scored both of the Saxons' game-winners against Hilbert College (04.01.15) and Medaille College (04.08.15)...third on the team in ground balls with 24...third on the team in draw controls with 19...second on the team in free position goals with four.
Before AU: Played soccer for Michael VanNostrand and lacrosse for Tim Burr as a Cyclone at Watertown High School in Watertown, NY...played travel ball for Upstate United Soccer Club...helped her team claim a Frontier League Championship title in 2012 for soccer while earning the 2013 and 2014 girl's lacrosse championship titles...both championship years for lacrosse, helped team to to the sectional championships...earned Frontier League All-Star in 2013 for soccer...captained the Cyclones in soccer in 2013.
Personal: Daughter of Catherine and Douglas Gilbert, Miranda is a biology major...also a four-year member of the women's soccer team here at Alfred University helped the Saxons make the Empire 8 Tournament for the first time in program history during the 2017 season.
