The Saxons (0-5, 0-0 Empire 8) dropped a 1-8 decision to the host school with senior captain,
Connor Doud (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) picking up the solo team point at No. 1 singles. Doud topped Elmira's Yu Ikeda, 6-2, 6-1. Earlier, he teamed with fellow senior and captain,
Matt Baloga (Goshen, NY/Goshen) at No. 1 doubles. The pair battled Patrick Tracey and Satchal Waters in a close 6-8 loss.
The Saxons will next travel to Penn State-Behrend for their second meeting during the 2015-16 schedule on February 28 at 1:00 pm. Later that day, Alfred University will go from Erie, PA to Bradford, PA for a 6:00 pm match start against Pitt-Bradford.
