ALFRED, NY – Junior forward Tristin Hook (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown North) scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Alfred University men's basketball team beat visiting Keuka College, 87-74, Tuesday night at the Galanis Family Arena.
 
Hook went 8-for-12 from the field and converted on 4-of-5 free throw attempts in netting his career high for scoring. Senior guard Tyler Seelman (Lorton, VA/Hayfield Secondary) also hit the 20 point mark as he went 8-for-17 from the field and knocked down four three-point shots. Seelman was also active on the defensive end as he blocked three shot attempts and came away with three steals.
 
AU (2-2) led 45-40 at the half and Keuka trailed the rest of the way. Sophomore forward Sage Brown (Cortland, NY/Cortland) converted on a layup to give the Saxons with 4:12 left in regulation, giving his team a 21-point lead at 84-63. Brown finished with 16 points and dished out a game-high five assists, while sophomore point guard Scotty Stopera (Scotia, NY/Scotia-Glenville) added 12 points and a pair of steals.

Trevor Powell had 17 points and Greg Tyler 16 tp lead the Wolves.
 
Alfred is in action this Saturday, November 26, as they host Hilbert College. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
