BROCKPORT, NY – The Alfred University women's tennis team lost 7-2 to host Brockport State Wednesday afternoon in the Saxons' season opener.
 
Senior Rachel Cook (Youngstown, OH/Laurel Springs) earned Alfred's lone singles win, taking first singles, 8-3. Cook was also in on the Saxons' only doubles victory, teaming with senior Emma Jackson (Wellsville, NY/Wellsville) to claim first doubles, 8-2.
 
AU is in action next on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 4 p.m. at SUNY Cortland.
