AU (0-3, 0-2 Empire 8) won two of three doubles matches. Seniors
Rachel Cook (Youngstown, OH/Laurel Springs) and
Emma Jackson (Wellsville, NY/Wellsville) won first doubles, 9-8 (7-5), while freshmen
Emma Siemer (Owego, NY/Owego Free Academy) and
Inda Gillett (South Kortright, NY/Delaware Academy Central) won third doubles, 8-5.
Cook and Jackson earned Alfred's singles points. Cook took first singles, 8-2, while Jackson was victorious in second singles, 8-5.
Alfred is in action next on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 3 p.m. at Penn State Behrend.
