Box Score SCRANTON, PA—The Alfred University women's soccer team lost to the University of Scranton, 6-0, in Scranton, PA Sunday afternoon.
 
Scranton's defense held the Saxons to two shots in the game. Sophomore Lauren Wyant (Jasper, NY/Jasper-Troupsburg) took both attempts for AU.  Samantha Wargo and Brittany Uricchio led the Royals with two goals each.
 
Alfred's Sammy Jo Shanahan (Valley Stream, NY/Valley Stream South) played in goal for the Saxons, making three saves. 
 
The Saxons (1-4-1, E8 0-0-0) have a long break as they are off until Friday when they travel to Hamburg, NY to take on the Hilbert Hawks.
