ALFRED, NY – The Alfred University men's tennis team took an 8-1 decision from visiting SUNY Oswego Monday afternoon in Alfred.

AU (6-3) swept singles play in the non-conference matchup. Junior Connor Doud (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) won first singles, 6-4, 5-7, 10-4; sophomore Evan Haskins (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville South) won second singles, 7-6, 7-5; senior Michael Graham (Elmira, NY/Southside) took third singles, 6-4, 6-2; junior Kevin Volz (Olean, NY/Olean) took fourth singles, 6-3, 6-1; sophomore Patrick Brown (Olean, NY/Olean) won fifth singles, 6-4, 7-5; and junior Matt Baloga (Goshen, NY/Goshen) rallied to claim sixth singles, 2-6, 6-3, 6-1.
The Saxons won two of three doubles matches. Doud and Volz won first doubles, 8-4; and Brown and Baloga took third doubles, 8-4.

AU is in action next on Tuesday, April 14, at 4 p.m., at Lycoming.
