AU won four of six singles matches and two of three doubles contests to improve to 1-8 overall and 1-4 in Empire 8 Conference play.

Winning singles matches for the Saxons were: senior
Rachel Cook (Youngstown, OH/Laurel Springs), 6-2, 6-4 in first singles; Â senior
Emma Jackson (Wellsville, NY/Wellsville), 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 in second singles; freshman
Emma Siemer (Owego, NY/Owego Free Academy), 6-1, 6-2 in fourth singles; and freshman
Inda Gillett (South Kortright, NY/Delaware Academy), 6-2, 6-4 in sixth singles.

Cook and Jackson won first doubles, 8-1, while Siemer and Gillett took third doubles.

AU is in action next on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 12 p.m. at home against Ithaca College.
