ALFRED, NY – The Alfred University women's tennis team dropped a non-conference decision to visiting Brockport, 6-3, Sunday afternoon.
 
Alfred (1-2) got singles wins from junior Emma Jackson (Wellsville, NY/Wellsville), 7-6, 3-6, 10-6 in second singles, and sophomore Rachel Cook (Youngstown, OH/Laurel Springs), 3-6, 7-6, 10-5 in third singles.
 
Seniors Brennan Ferguson (Destrechan, LA/Ursuline) and Emily Eisenberg (Oyster Bay, NY/Oyster Bay) got the Saxons' lone doubles win, taking second doubles, 9-7.
 
AU is in action next on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 1 p.m. at Hartwick.
