Box Score ONEONTA, NY –The Alfred University women's lacrosse team lost to Hartwick College, 16-6, on the road Saturday afternoon. This loss drops AU to 1-11 overall on the season and 0-7 in Empire 8 play.
                
Junior attack Kaitlyn Button (Cazenovia, NY/Cazenovia) earned a hat-trick with three goals, and led all Saxon scorers. Sophomore midfielder Margaret Heinen (Ellenville, NY/Ellenville), sophomore defender Kendra Newell (Sidney, NY/Sidney), and freshman midfielder Meghan Wendt (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) all netted a goal each.
                
Sophomore defender Kerry Mack (Weedsport, NY/Jordan-Elbridge) picked up seven groundballs and caused four turnovers, and Button scooped up seven groundballs and forced six turnovers.
                
Junior goalie Taylor Tarajos (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia) went the distance in net for AU, making a game-high 11 saves.
