Box Score ALFRED, NY –The Alfred University women's lacrosse team fell to visiting Nazareth College, 17-5, Wednesday evening at Yunevich Stadium.
                
The Golden Flyers outscored the Lady Saxons 10-1 in the first half and 7-4 in the second half.
                
Freshman midfielder Meghan Wendt (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) led all Alfred scorers with two goals.
                
Senior midfielder Ashley White (Islip, NY/Islip), junior attack Kaitlyn Button (Cazenovia, NY/Cazenovia) and sophomore Brianna Dudick (Somers, NY/Somers) all netted a goal each, and freshman midfielder Mary Baughman (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) picked up three groundballs.
                
Junior goalie Taylor Tarajos (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia) made seven saves in 60 minutes of play.
                
AU (1-10, 0-6 Empire 8) resumes play on Saturday, April 26, at 1 p.m. against Hartwick College.
