Box Score ALFRED, NY –The Alfred University women's lacrosse team lost to visiting Ithaca College, 19-1, in Empire 8 play, Sunday afternoon.
                
Ithaca led Alfred 15-1 at halftime and did not look back, outscoring AU 4-0 in the second half.
                
Senior attack Ashley White (Islip, NY/Islip) connected with junior attack Kaitlyn Button (Cazenovia, NY/Cazenovia) for the lone Alfred goal. Button also scooped up three groundballs and forced a turnover.  
                
Junior goalie Taylor Tarajos (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia) went the full 60 minutes in net for AU, and made seven saves.  
                
Alfred (1-7, 0-4 Empire 8) travels to Houghton College on Wednesday, April 16, at 7 p.m.
