ONEONTA, NY – The Alfred University men's swimming and diving team dropped a 161-84 decision at Hartwick College on Saturday.

Juniors Dave Coombes (Dansville, NY/Dansville) and Zac Toth (Lockport, NY/Starpoint) each had wins for the Saxons (3-3) in individual events. Coombes won the 200 freestyle (1:46.98) and also took second in the 100 free (48.48 seconds). Toth won the 100 butterfly (53.84) and was second in both the 200 fly (2:01.86) and 200 backstroke (2:01.75).

Junior David Luke (Ocala, FL/West Port), Toth, Coombes and senior Pete Sowinski (Akron, NY/Akron) won the 200 free relay (1:26.99).

Sowinski was second in the 50 free (22.23) and was third in the 200 free (1:51.32) and 100 free (48.96). Luke was third in the 50 free (22.24).

AU is in action next on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 1 p.m. at Ithaca.
