PITTSFORD, NY — The Alfred University women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision at Empire 8 Conference opponent Nazareth College Wednesday afternoon.

Sophomore Rachel Cook (Youngstown, OH/Laurel Springs) earned the Saxons' lone point, scoring a 6-1, 6-4 victory in second singles.

AU (1-6, 0-5 Empire 8) is in action next on Saturday, Sept. 21, at noon at Oswego.
