ALFRED, NY- The Alfred University women's soccer team won a 2-0 decision, on Merrill Field, Saturday evening in their season home-opener.

Junior defender Nicole Lobur (Akron, NY/Akron) led the Lady Saxons netting, two goals at the 16^th and 89^th minute.

Senior goalie Samijo Scheer (Corning, NY/East) made a save throughout the entire match, in net for AU.

AU (2-3-0, 0-0-0 Empire 8) next faces Pitt-Bradford on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m. in a non-conference matchup.
