Box Score ALFRED, NY- The Alfred University women's soccer team fell to visiting Utica College in a 2-1 decision Sunday afternoon, in Empire 8 play.
Neither team found the net in the first half of the match; the score was 0-0 at halftime.
Utica struck first at the 68^th minute, giving them a 1-0 lead. Junior defender Nicole Lobur (Akron, NY/Akron) evened the score at 1-1 off a free kick goal, at the 74^th minute. Utica scored another goal four minutes later closing scoring for the game, sealing a 2-1 advantage.
Senior goalie Samijo Scheer (Corning, NY/East) grabbed five saves in 90 minutes of play for Alfred.
