FREDONIA, NY — The Alfred University women's tennis team lost to Fredonia State, 7-2, Wednesday evening.

The AU team of junior Brennan Ferguson (Destrechan, LA/Ursuline) and sophomore Rachel Cook (Youngstown, OH/Laurel Springs) won first doubles, 8-2. Cook was Alfred's lone singles winner, taking second singles 6-1, 6-3.

AU (3-8) is in action next on Friday, Oct. 4, at 4 p.m. at home against Penn State-Behrend.
