Xavier Bowman captained the Alfred University Saxons to a win on his senior day over the Hartwick Hawks on Saturday. He scored the opening and eventual winning goal by chest-receiving a long pass from Derek Alexei Rodriguez, fighting through three Hawk defenders and doing a sliding shot to put a low ball into the back middle of the net. It was part of his offensive barrage on the Hawks’ net, as he recorded five shots with two of them on target.
