Ryckman smashed her personal best distance in the weight throw. Her previous best was 12.35m (40’-6.25”) set in February of 2025 and was her only time throwing over the 12.00m mark. On Friday, at the Houghton December Classic and season-opener, Ryckman marked a finals throw of 14.56m (47’-9.25”) to finish third overall and first among NCAA Division III opponents. She only lost to a thrower from Division I University of Buffalo and Division II Daemen College. Ryckman defeated SUNY Brockport’s Rhian Crowley by nine inches. Her mark of 14.56m is now AU’s fourth best mark, beating the 2017 school record throw of 14.07m (46’-2”) by Brynn Hyde ’18. Ryckman was close to the overall school record mark of 14.85m (48’-8.6”) set in 2020.
