Mulholland was a key figure in a Saxons’ 2-0 week as he also recorded his first shutout of the season with an Empire 8 victory over Keuka College. Mulholland made four saves on the week and allowed only one goal. The Saxons had a 1-0 advantage at the half against Marywood University on Wednesday. The game was tied in the 60th minute, just before AU pulled ahead two minutes later. In the 75th minute, Marywood was awarded a penalty kick that would have tied the game, 2-2. The Pacer’s PK specialist went bottom left on the attempt and it was Mulholland who made the stop, preventing the equalizer goal. As the Pacers were only down one goal, with time running out, they made a push forward with all of their players during a corner kick in the 89th minute, including their keeper. The Saxons stopped the corner with a header, allowing teammate, Xavier Bowman to take the loose ball down the field and score the last goal of the game with 14 seconds remaining in the game. Mulholland added two stops in the conference-opener on Saturday as the Saxons hosted Keuka.
