Smit was instrumental in the Saxons claiming back-to-back High Point Team titles on Saturday and Sunday at Caustelot Farms in McDonald, PA during shows hosted by West Virginia University. She was Saturday’s Reserve High Point Rider and Sunday’s High Point Rider as she won both Saturday’s and Sunday’s Open Horsemanship sections. She also finished second in both Open Reining shows. Smit and the Saxons jumped back in the lead of the regional rankings with 168 points, ahead of WVU’s 160 and Alfred State’s 153 points.
