ALFRED, NY-- Richard Lander (Narrowsburg, NY/Sullivan West) has been named the AU Male Athlete of the Week.

Lander is being honored with this award due to his performance in both of the men's soccer games last week.  Most notably, Lander lead the Saxons to a 1-0 victory over Clarkson University, scoring the only goal on a penalty kick.

Lander has played and started in all six men's soccer games this season averaging 4.83 shots per game, 18 shots on goal, two goals, and one assist which are all tops on the team.

The Saxons hit the pitch again September 17th at SUNY Geneseo.
