George Mecca successfully defended his indoor 800-meter run title during the Empire 8 Championships on Saturday, hosted by Nazareth College. He ran a personal best time of 1:58.00 to reclaim his title. Mecca also ran a time of 52.36 in the 400-meter dash to finish ninth.
