Schmidt had a standout week as he had three games with double-digit scoring and almost his second double-double of the year with points and assists, helping AU go 2-1 in conference play. Schmidt had a weekly-high of 22 points as the Saxons pushed the Empire 8 Regular Season Champions, Utica University, to the brink in a narrow home loss. He totaled 49 points on the week and 18 assists while pulling down eight rebounds and six steals. He was three assists shy of a double-double on the road at Medaille University, scoring 14 points with four 3-pointers and a field goal. On Saturday, the Saxons hosted Keuka College where Schmidt scored 13 points and assisted on nine buckets. Schmidt now has 371 career assists as this past week pushed him over his previous career-high season best of 117 assists last year, totaling 127 assists this year with one game to go.
