Senior Sam Dagon breached the 1,000-career points line as he led the Saxons in two of the three Empire 8 games last week in scoring. In all three games, Dagon scored 20 or more points, making his season count of 20+ point games at seven with all seven occurring during Empire 8 contests. Dagon has only had two out of his 20 games this season where he didn’t score in the double-digits. He began the week with 22 points against Houghton College. On the weekend, he led the Saxons in scoring in both road contests, scoring 21 against Nazareth College and 26 against Fisher. It was the Fisher game that he broke past 1,000 career points. He currently has 1,022 points which puts him at the No. 20 spot in Alfred University history and making him the 22nd player in Saxon record books to hit 1,000 for the men’s program.
