Senior Lauren Serotta swept the backstroke events on Saturday in the Saxons’ dual meet with Nazareth College. She began the day with the fastest split in the backstroke leg of the 200-yard medley relay, swimming a time of 29.51, almost a whole second faster than the other backstrokers in the lanes. Serotta teamed with Mia Spencer, Cassidy Jeche and Ana Perez Hernandez to finish second in the event. She then went on to win the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:04.45, topping the remainder of the field by more than a second. Serotta won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:21.30 before closing out the day with a time of 27.24 during her leg of the women’s 200-yard freestyle, claiming first place after exhibitions.
