First-year Ana Ion averaged 14.5 points on the weekend and grew her collegiate career-high in rebounds substantially as she pulled down eight boards against Morrisville State College including career-bests in both offensive rebounds with four and defensive with four. She also broke her career-high in points twice on the weekend with 13 against Morrisville and then 16 against Oswego State College. In total, Ion had 29 points, 11 rebounds, four steals, two assists and one block while also staying out of foul trouble with only one foul in each of the two contests on the week. During Ion’s career-high scoring effort against Oswego, she also set her career-high in field goal percentage as she made 7-of-13 for a .538 shooting average.
